History

“Inspired by the United States military, law enforcement, and all of those who currently serve, have served, or the fallen heroes who have given the ultimate sacrifice to protect out freedoms. We honor you!”

HistoryTim L. Jarvis founded RTS Sports “Run To Succeed Race Management and Timing Company” in the spring of 2014.  Tim began organizing a fundraiser to honor every wounded and fallen warrior fighting to protect those things we take for granted on a daily basis. Thus, the Run Of Valor to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project was created. The first Run Of Valor was hosted on May 17, 2014 in Murphysboro, Illinois at the challenging 4-mile Lake Murphysboro State Park. The Run To Succeed team is looking to expand the event to annual races across the United States. In addition to attending any of these races in person, runners are also able to participate in a “Virtual Race,” running from anywhere in the country on your own time, at your own pace, indoors or outdoors, and still supporting a great charity.

Supporting the Run Of Valor will have a direct impact on the lives of the military soldiers and their families around the world by honoring and empowering Veterans and Wounded Warriors, fostering the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history, and by raising awareness of the needs of injured service members.

The Run of Valor has now partnered with Hope For The Warriors. Hope For The Warriors believe those touched by military service can succeed at home by restoring their sense of self, family, and hope. Nationally, Hope For The Warriors® provides comprehensive support programs for service members, veterans, and military families that are focused on transition, health and wellness, peer engagement, and connections to community resources. Hope For The Warriors® has been named a 4-Star Charity on Charity Navigator 5 years in a row, an honor bestowed to the top 5% of charities

We hope you will join us by becoming a proud supporter of Hope For The Warriors, the Wounded Warrior Project and the mission of giving back to those that need it most. Assist us by growing the Run Of Valor to new levels! To request a race in your area, please click here.
